Samsung partners with Danish firm to provide 'one-kind' audiovisual experience

SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics has partnered with Steinway Lyngdorf, top-class Danish audio brand, to provide "one-kind" audiovisual experience with its new giant display.

Samsung said in a statement released through its news blog on Friday that through its partnership with Steinway, "The Wall", a new LED display created by Samsung, would have a top-notch audio system. Consumers will have an ultimate viewing experience with the combination of an impressive display and a state-of-the-art sound system.

"Through our partnership with Steinway Lyngdorf, we are pioneering a new name in display technology and delivering an unmatched, one-of-a-kind audiovisual experience," Kim Seog-gi, an executive vice president of Samsung's visual display business, was quoted as saying.

The Wall, unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 earlier this year, is a 146-inch display using Samsung's MicroLED technology, which is more efficient than conventional ones in generating sharp images with brilliant colors. 

Samsung said that The Wall will be armed with Steinway's freestanding loudspeaker, designed to deliver the most lifelike sound. Steinway Lyngdorf is a brand name of high-end audio systems produced by Steinway & Sons, which has produced speakers designed to precisely reproduce the sound of a grand piano.

Samsung began receiving pre-orders for The Wall and the loudspeaker bundle.
