SEOUL -- World Club Dome, an electronic dance music (EDM) festival, will be held in South Korea's eastern port city of Incheon for three days from September 14, according to organizers.

The annual EDM event, "World Club Dome", organized by the German EDM radio station BigCityBeats, has been held in Frankfurt, Germany in June since 2013. Last year, it was held in Incheon for the first time in Asia, attracting some 28,000 foreigners.

For this year's event, South Korean organizers -- the state-run Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and MPC Partners -- agreed with Incheon city authorities to attract more foreign fans. KTO officials vowed to nurture the Incheon event as a global EDM festival. The World Club Dome involved the transformation of a sports stadium into a giant nightclub to offer a variety of different electronic genres.
